Andrew Christensen is an artist and musician searching for lost treasure in the forgotten sands of time. Fascinated by cultural artifacts of the 1920’s-60’s, he is always on the hunt for another piece of obscure expression – scratchy Blind Lemon Jefferson records, the 1927 film Metropolis, the children’s book illustrations of Dorothy P. Lathrop and the Dada photomontages of Hannah Höch have a certain ghostly magnetism and haunting beauty that informs his style. Due to a rare eye condition called Achromatopsia, he is legally blind, sees only in black and white and has extreme light sensitivity. His art is a means to communicate how he sees and highlight the absurd silliness of our tragic society.
