Archana Jayavel
I am a self-taught artist based in Madison, Wisconsin, working primarily with acrylic pouring techniques, textured art, and resin art under the studio name Serene Spill Creations. My journey with art began in childhood, when painting sparked joy and curiosity. As life grew busier, I drifted away from it—until a special birthday gift brought me back.
On my birthday this year, my husband and son surprised me with a session at a fluid art studio. Watching the colors flow freely across the canvas, spilling and blending through my fingers, I felt something awaken inside me. In that moment, I rediscovered the love I had for creating—and I have not stopped painting since.
My art explores color, movement, and emotion through fluid acrylic pouring—a medium that
celebrates unpredictability and flow. Each piece emerges from the balance between intention and spontaneity, reflecting life’s rhythm of control and release. Inspired by nature’s shifting skies, flowing water, and organic textures, as well as the emotions of everyday life, my work emphasizes vibrant color palettes, layered depth, and natural movement. I aim to evoke a sense of calm, curiosity, and wonder, inviting viewers to discover their own reflections within each
piece.
Though still early in my career, I am actively building my collection and sharing my work through Etsy and local Wisconsin art fairs. My dream is to continue growing as an artist, connecting with communities, and bringing joy, serenity, and inspiration to others through my paintings. In a world that often feels rushed and structured, I hope my art serves as a gentle reminder of stillness, flow, and the beauty of imperfection.
