Born and raised in Rochester, NY, Jacqueline moved with her family to Madison in January of 2019. The majority of her time and energy goes to raising and educating her 4 children.

Here in southern Wisconsin, she fell in love with fluid and abstract artwork. Covid quarantine set the stage for retreating into her “art dungeon” (unfinished basement) and much experimentation with mostly acrylic paint—blowing paint with a straw, mouth, blow dryer, torch, etc. and tilting, pouring, mixing, spreading, scraping, splattering, spinning, throwing, dropping, etc. (As much as she tries to get her kids off of YouTube, it helped her figure out a bunch of these methods.) The process of creating artwork has been a kind of release and retreat in the midst of life’s challenges. Most recently, she’s been experimenting with texture artwork.

When she starts a painting, she don’t usually have a plan for the end result. It starts with an idea or question like, “I wonder what would happen if…?” In the words of E. B. White, “Always be on the lookout for the presence of wonder.” Jacqueline had an absolute blast making every single one of these pieces.
