Ryan Robinson

Faces and heads are often the primary subjects in my art. I use these knowable images as a jumping off point to express myself through my artwork. Sometimes the face is the subject, sometimes it isn’t and sometimes there is unrecognizable.

I don’t sit down to paint with a plan in mind. I’ll often have an idea but I feel like my best work is more spontaneous, than preplanned. More following a path and making decisions as I work through the piece.

My work is my way of coming to terms with the lack of reasons in our lives, and embracing that realization. I hope that my work raises more questions than answers. I hope that people enjoy it and can take something from the work.
