I was 12 the first time I picked up a camera; it was during a field trip, and each student was gifted a disposable Kodak. By the time my other classmates were taking their first shots, I had already gone through my entire roll. At 34, I haven’t put down my camera since. I have a special fondness for photographing subjects that other people might walk past unnoticed: garbage, graffiti, strange patterns in the wall. I like to find beauty in the mundane.
