Shake it off with TRE® (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercise).
A sister to yoga, TRE® consists of a series of exercises that stretch and fatigue muscles, which allows us to tap into an innate shaking or tremoring mechanism which releases stress, anxiety, physical tension & ultimately trauma. This somatic/embodiment modality regulates our nervous system so you feel less stressed, grounded and more at ease. In this 90 minute workshop, we will dive into the history of this tool and how it’s used today along with having you try it out. We’ll hold space for questions at the end as well. Sarah Giencke is a Nervous System and Resilience Coach who is Certified in TRE® (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises). She is Founder of Riset Resiliency, a wellness consultancy. Through her work, she helps people reclaim power and balance over their nervous systems so that they can live less stressful and more peaceful lives. Having an intimate relationship to trauma, Sarah deeply understands the connection between the body’s trauma response and adverse life effects – being easily triggered, hypervigilant & experiencing chronic pain. Sarah places an emphasis on building safety while helping them gain self-agency & self-awareness
